Creating a strong sense of self, a positive well being and a calm mind is an ongoing process. Some of us have been blessed with a happy childhood, love, support and positive role models….. many of us haven’t. As a result we are all trying our best with the skills and tools that we have been given and sometimes this is not enough.

Due to the lack of skills, awareness and understanding we form addictive patterns as coping mechanisms.

These addictions (negative patterns) may manifest as:
Relationship issues, over use of alcohol, drugs and food, gambling, shopping, sex addiction, negative thinking patterns, gaming…which all impact negatively on our metal and physical health and well being.

Healthy Mindz wants to help you have the awareness and skills to find the peace within.

There are many skills needed to create this balance of positive mental health that Healthy Mindz can help you with:

The capacity to be aware of, control and express one’s emotions and handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically.

Is the conscious knowledge of one’s own character and feelings. Self-awareness is the capacity for introspection and the ability to recognize oneself as an individual separate from the environment and other individuals.

Is an integration of body, breath and mind awareness. Yoga cultivates positive health and well being on many levels (physically, emotionally, mentally and socially) through a regular practise of a range of different techniques including:

Postures and movement (asanas), breath awareness and breathing techniques (pranayama) relaxation and concentration, self-inquiry and meditation.

Yoga has been practiced for thousands of years and is an approach to life that values balance and harmony within each person and with each other.

The practice of yoga is safe, useful and very cost-effective for wide range conditions and life stages.

Mindfulness is the psychological process of purposely bringing one’s attention to experiences occurring in the present moment without judgment, which one can develop through the practice of meditation and through other training.

Managing stress is about recognising it and taking charge. When we understand stress, recognise the effects it has, learn how to reduce it and use strategies to cope, we lead a healthier more productive life. 

Personality is defined as the characteristic set of behaviours, cognitions, and emotional patterns that evolve from biological and environmental factors.

Each has its strengths and blind spots. Learning to recognize these different points of view enables us to understand people’s motivation, their major needs and concerns, also their style of working and relating.
